“Muscles” by Diana Ross – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
Diana Ross released her 1982 album “Silk Electric” in 1982 – the Andy Warhol cover set the album with a style and artistic taste. Michael Jackson worked with Diana Ross and the single “Muscles” – as writer and producer. This was a nice return for Diana to sing not only about a hedonism theme – but also a breathy and sensual vocal.
I have taken the 1977 documentary film, “Pumping Iron” starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno and Matty Ferrigno to create an orgy of muscles to move along with the dance track. It is a bit camp and we see so many biceps and triceps that we can almost feel like the man on the beach whose date gets sand kicked in their face by the bully. It does give us a chance to see Arnold in his glory long before he became the 38th governor of California and a scandal with his own maid and wife. Arnie, get it together!
The film was directed by George Butler and Robert Fiore
