“Eyes” by Donna Summer – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
Donna Summer released her album “Cats Without Claws” in 1984 – produced by Michael Omartian. The project was an electronic pop sound with a sound from Donna that depicted a mature and voice working in a new direction. Although much of album was directed at dance material there was a slight-rock edge to many of the cuts.
I have taken the song “Eyes” from the project and worked it into this Disco Video Mix along with the 1954 Alfred Hitchcock suspense masterpiece, “Rear Window” starring James Stewart and Grace Kelly. The film was based on a short story titled “It Had To Be Murder” by Cornell Woolrich. The song was always a favorite since it had Donna wondering among the sleaze sound in her sensual panther-like approach – this time with more of a rock-edge.
The film was directed by Alfred Hitchcock
This Disco Video Mix is dedicated to my good friend, Kevin Bradley from San Francisco, CA – he would always excite at the idea of a video from Donna of this track – here is a new concept for you, Kevin!
