“Ride It” by Hot Posse – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
Hot Posse is a disco project from producer Douglas Goldman. The track “Ride It” was featured on “Prime Cuts 1 – The Double Dance Album” from 1981. The group later released a single titled “An American Dream (Medley)” also produced by Goldman along with Boys Town Gang producer Bill Motley – and features Patrick Cowley on synthesizers. It was the San Francisco disco movement creating a new brand of dance material for those who were still ready to dance.
I have taken the 1994 film “Bad Girls” starring Drew Barrymore, Madeline Stowe, Andie MacDowell and Mary Stuart Masterson – the film outlines four former prostitutes on the run following a justifiable homicide and a prison escape during the old Wild West. The female outlaws play the sensual feel of the double entendre disco number.
