“Ghost House” by The House Engineers – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
The House Engineers are a mid-80s electronic house project from Fernand Fidore and Paul Witts. Using the riffs and foundation of electronic house sound which progressed with the Chicago house, acid and new beat influences of the time. “Ghost House” is a simple and slick piece using a chilling vocal and horror genre to spook up a nifty dance number. It was a perfect piece for those Halloween parties and terror themed mixed tapes.
I have taken “Ghost House” into a Special Halloween Disco Video Mix using scenes from the 1959 William Castle horror flick, “House on Haunted Hill” – starring Vincent Price. A cheesy ghost story about an eccentric millionaire who invites five guests to earn $10,000 each if they can last a night together in this so-called haunted house. It plays out as campy as the dance track itself.
The film was directed by William Castle
