'Ultra Warp (Final Conflict)' by Laser-Cowboys
- Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
Taking the 1984 Italian dance track, "Ultra
Warp (Final Conflict)" into a Video Mix with
the 1973 MGM science-fiction film, "Westworld"
was a thought I had. The concept of a playground
where robots fulfill our every need is a great
one - until something goes wrong.
This film was frightening for it's time and I
would not doubt that a remake would be haunting
us soon with an advanced digital production. The
original was cast with Yul Brenner as "The
Gunslinger", Richard Benjamin and James Brolin.
The Laser-Cowboys are a fantastic electronic
studio band produced by Mach II - this was their
first release from 1984 and reminds me of Ennio
Morricone's theme from "The Good, The Bad
and The Ugly" - very haunting.
