“Soul Sister” by Ronnie Jones – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
Ronnie Jones is a blues and R&B singer whose career led him into the disco arena in the mid-70s with his album “Looking For Action” – produced by Jürgen S. Korduletsch. Ronnie’s sound fit many of his dance tracks that reflect soulful and soft natured edge energy for both high energy and disco-funk. “Soul Sister” is a track that is an early movement of disco from the Munich disco sound. Sweet and bouncy with a touch of the strings and arrangements that shaped disco into refinement.
I have taken the disco classic “Soul Sister” and paired it in this Disco Video Mix along with scenes from the 1974 television detective series, “Get Christie Love” starring Teresa Graves – focusing more of the theme of the beautiful and sassy undercover agent working her charm throughout the action and crime she encounters in the underworld.
