“To Have And Have Not” by Ronny – Disco Video Mix by Glenn Rivera
Ronny was a French model in the mid-70s and later began writing her own songs and performing in a Paris club. Her recording career soon began and produced by Midge Ure (Ultravox), Vangelis, Georg Kjanus and Peter Godwin. A part of the synth pop movement in the early and mid-80s. I have taken her single “To Have And Have Not” and paired it with the 1945 Howard Hawks film, “To Have And Have Not” starring Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall.
I playing the 12” so much during the release date I always wanted to blend the two together in an image montage – and this is my chance and display. It was once of my favorite films as a child so the images were burned in my mind.
